Fells Update: RMP in Final Review

DCR released an update on the Fells RMP process that states:
I know it seems this has dropped off the radar, but this is an important piece of news. Let's hope that DCR's draft takes the draft Trail Plan and builds on it. It's time to get equitable access in place in the Fells!
One more tidbit in the newsletter. The Friends of the Fells took unilateral, unauthorized, unapproved, unsanctioned action during the RMP process and re-blazed the Dark Hollow Pond Trail in direct opposition to what DCR requested all stakeholders do while the RMP was underway: do no significant trail work. DCR has requested they remove any mention of this from their website and will be removing the unauthorized blazes.

"The draft Middlesex Fells Resource Management Plan is in final review. Given the summer season, we expect to hold a public meeting to present the draft plan in early September. This will be followed by a 30-day public comment period."
