DCR Park Serve Day @ the Fells 4/16/2011
The public component of DCR's Fells RMP process is about over and until they issue their draft of the RMP, the public input component of the RMP process closes on March 30th.
If you haven't sent anything in, or if you commented during the Trails Plan, you can send comments in on the RMP.
We would urge you to emphasize the call for opening up as many trails as possible to shared use - point out to DCR that the vast majority of trail user experiences are *positive*, dispel the myth that opponents to equitable access have been trying to skew the perception of this. Bring the Fells in line with other parks!
It would also be extremely worthwhile to lend your support to efforts to have DCR allow at least some designated off-leash on-trail dog friendly trails. Especially if you are a dog owner, or ride with your dog, or if you have positive dog experiences to share.
Thank you - I know many are discouraged with this process and DCR, but I'm trying to remain optimistic about outcomes.
